Siemens is looking for a Sr. Director, Operations Transformation & Technology will lead enterprise manufacturing transformation across the SI EP NA factory network, driving lean operating excellence, digitalization, automation, and advanced manufacturing to create a scalable “future factory” capability.
This role includes responsibility for the technology and transformation roadmap supporting EP NA's factory network across Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. It is moreover responsible for accelerating operational excellence initiatives across the manufacturing network through the deployment of standardized processes, modular technologies, repeatable operating models that can be rapidly scaled across sites, connected shop floors, and next-generation manufacturing technology.
Responsibilities:
Lean & Continuous Improvement:
- Standardize a lean manufacturing production system, lean training program and continuous-improvement methodology across all sites.
- Own enterprise Value Stream Mapping (VSM) standards and lead network-wide assessments to improve flow, capacity, lead time, and waste reduction.
- Partner with factory leadership teams to redesign and standardize critical manufacturing processes, enabling scalable growth and operational consistency.
- Coordinate the standardization of KPIs across factories for assessment of lean maturity, OEE, productivity, etc.
- Share lessons learned and implement best practices across the factory network.
Digitalization & Industry 4.0:
- Own the digitalization roadmap process including MES, OT networks, and shop-floor connectivity to drive real-time operational intelligence.
- Develop data and analytics capability that turns factory data into actionable operational decisions.
Automation & Advanced Manufacturing:
- Establish a unified manufacturing transformation strategy, governance model, and Manufacturing CoE that aligns Automation & Digitalization and Change & Technology resources, clarifies ownership, prioritization, standards, best practices, technical expertise, and common performance metrics.
- Define and support deployment of best-in-class equipment, robotics, automation, and next-generation process technology standards across the factory network.
- Build a repeatable “future factory” reference design and accelerate network-wide replication by documenting, validating, and scaling successful practices, innovations, lessons learned, and internal versus external advanced-manufacturing capabilities.
Operating Model
- Ensure implementation, training and auditing to best practice Operating Model standards under OpsEdge program.
- Coordinates roadmaps with factories to continually increase capabilities and maturity under OpsEdge operating model.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with the Project Office to embed transformation technology into major capital investment projects from the design stage, maintaining a clear boundary between process/technology design, capital execution, and hand-off to production.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to achieve sustainable improvements and support the development of new processes.
- Lead regular Jour Fix meetings where Factory Heads share the Progress, Completion or Out of Bounds implementation.
- Coordinate with internal Digital experts, company expertise (ex. FD Factory Network, EMS colleagues, etc.) and plant leadership to ensure alignment across the business.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; Master's/MBA a plus.
- 12+ years of experience within Manufacturing or Operations disciplines, with progressive leadership in lean, automation, or digital manufacturing.
- Complex advanced manufacturing/ digital/ automation deployments and greenfield/technology-ramp experience preferred.
- Very strong Project Management and leadership capabilities leading teams of professionals required.
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma, MES/OT architecture, Industry 4.0, robotics/automation, and advanced manufacturing methods.
Working Relationships:
- Reports to Senior VP of Operations EP NA
- Supervises direct reports across: Lean/Continuous Improvement, Digitalization, Automation, and Advanced Manufacturing.
- Functional reporting relationship to factory Lean, Automation and Digitalization, and Industrial Engineering personnel
- Matrixed collaboration required on a project-by-project basis. Coordination is frequently required with team members and experts from the Project Office, Factories, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.

The pay range for this position is $275,000 - $330,000 annually with a target incentive of 35% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
