The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of todays and tomorrow’s power grid!
We are looking for a Hybrid Electromechanically Technician Apprentice. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
Siemens Hybrid Electromechanical Technician Apprenticeship Program is designed to take the student through all aspects of the manufacturing process for Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment! The apprentice will learn how to perform the necessary movement of materials: receiving, storage, picking, delivery and inventory of all items including transport of materials to production areas. You may be required to document and record receipt and delivery of all materials and products using SAP. This position also performs the required equipment inspections to ensure safe operation.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Pursuing a High School Diploma or GED.
- Completed the pre-apprenticeship program with Siemens
- Be must be accepted to Wake Technical Community College in the spring to continue the program and will pursue either A.A.S. in Mechanical Engineering & Technology or A.A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology
- Lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. or less on regular basis.
- Must have experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

- Must have a positive attitude, work well with others, and implement constructive criticism
Responsibilities:
- Inspects moving equipment daily
- Manually unloads and receive production materials physically and records in the SAP system
- Counts and verifies counts for incoming material within the storeroom
- Pick materials for inside and outside customers using RF Scanners with count accuracy.
- Performs cycle counts daily of materials in the storeroom.
- Packs and ships materials efficiently and damage free for shipment to our customers.
- Utilizes small hand tools, including setting and correct use of Torque wrenches.
- Assembly and wire LV MCC breakers, MV breakers, LV and MV structures, sub-assemblies, Solar Inverters, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders.
- Perform Sub assembly work including mechanical assembly of steel and components, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wires.
- Read BOM, follow layouts & assembly drawings and record appropriate job record transactions.
- Perform some basic wiring per given instructions when requested.
- Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve.
- Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others.

The pay range for this position is $17.20 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
