As a Solutions Product Lifecycle Manager, you play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and business. Your responsibilities encompass defining and managing the solutions product portfolio, define the overall strategy and roadmap of the assemblies, solution and/or service portfolio elements assigned for development.

This is a fully remote role, however, local candidates are encouraged to apply.

You'll Make a Difference with:

Product Management:

  • Defines the strategic development and lifecycle of the assigned product, assembly, solution and/or service portfolio, in line with the given strategy of the business.
  • Proposes function or unit-related budgets, e.g. R&D budget distribution, strategic targets, etc.
  • Defines and allocates resources for Solutions Portfolio Management.
  • Ensures constant observation of relevant markets (competitor activities, portfolio gaps, demand and supply conditions, standards and regulations within target sectors, etc.).
  • Initiates analyses and decision proposals for Product & Product Portfolio Management Head.
  • Manages organization unit(s) assigned and leads and/or coordinates dedicated management and staff.
  • Define of modular and scalable solutions
  • Influence on standard and alignment on architecture
  • Influence on product road map of affected products
  • Define suitable business model approach towards offering and execution
  • Review and drive of economic viability of business

Solution Designs:

  • Work with Solutions Engineering and Integration Engineering departments on detailed design requirements
  • Develop functional and specific requirements for integrated skids, eHouses, NEMA 3R outdoor enclosures for indoor rated equipment using Siemens EA and PA portfolio or other Siemens or 3rd party equipment
  • Develop functional and specific requirements for distributed energy packaging of 3rd party systems with Siemens EA and PA portfolio or other Siemens equipment
  • Evaluate, initiate, and finalize listings and or certifications using Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories such as Intertek, UL, TUV, VB and similar
  • Prepare and maintain all PLM related documentation per Siemens PLM processes and quality landmarks
  • Coordinate with and report activities to broader EA PLM departments regarding Solutions roadmaps and status

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure solutions meet quality standards, scalability, and performance requirements. Work with Qmip team to develop and maintain quality documentation and processes.

Emerging Technologies:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate their impact on designs.

Customer Engagement:

  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with sales and offer teams during pre-sales activities, including solution presentations and technical discussions.
  • Post-Sales: Ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Executive Reporting: Provide updates to senior management on solution engineering initiatives, progress, and challenges.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to solution delivery.
  • Coordination of Information: Lead Design Development Meetings with all collaborators, including Program Management, Solutions Engineering, IE Engineering, Solutions Architecture, and Business Development.
  • Ensure Lessons Learned from previous projects are incorporated into newly developed solutions.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a technical role, which may include mechanical design, electrical design, installation in a manufacturing setting, to include:
  • Experience with fabrication of electrical equipment buildings and unit substations base framing, and/or
  • Experience managing integration projects within an electrical enclosure or skid fabrication facility (i.e. e-house, PDC, base skids, etc.), and/or
  • Familiarity with R&D and product development processes, and/or
  • Experience with MV and LV testing protocols.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs.
  • Software Application Knowledge: SieOps (salesforce); Autodesk suite, Revit or similar, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, MS Project
  • Familiarity with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends. Knowledge of NEC, IBC, IFC, IECC codes and application of LV and MV systems.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to align technical solutions with business goals. 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of State requirements for Modular Enclosures.
  • Direct experience with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management process.
  • Prior industry experience.

The pay range for this position is $122,951 - $210,773 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
