Then come and join our global team as NPI Procurement Engineer, based at our manufacturing location in Swords, Dublin. You will act as the primary link between R&D, Supply Chain Management (SCM) and our global supply base, to develop and launch new products.
Working within a dynamic engineering change environment, this is an exciting time to join our onsite team, as we embark on a number of new product developments and expand our R&D capabilities.

This role reports to the Procurement Engineering Manager.
Your role:
- Actively support New Product Introductions, to ensure optimization in terms of part design/manufacturing technology/supplier selection decisions.
- Promote the use of supplier innovation and Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DfMA) into product designs through an active Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) programme.
- Lead Design to Cost (DtC) and Value Engineering (VE) with suppliers and internal engineering and drive cost optimization.
- Conduct RfQ competitive exercises, to identify lowest Total Cost of Ownership (ToCO) sources, and achieve the target costs for materials and products, based on defined commodity strategies.
- Manage Tooling costing, build scheduling through to validation, and part approvals with selected suppliers, to defined project schedules.
- Colloborate with internal teams; procurement, R&D, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering to achieve new product development milestones and overall product launch and volume targets.
Your Expertise:
- Engineering or related Science Degree - QQI level 8 preferable.
- Professional experience within new product development environment.
- Experience within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment is preferable.
- Understanding of supplier manufacturing technologies and commodities, such as metal fabrication, metal machining, plastic molding, PCBA, cables, optics, and fluidics.
- Ability to influence supplier selection decisions at a Site and Strategic Procurement level.
- Proven direct supplier negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to lead supplier selection decisions on a cross-functional basis.
- Team player with ability to build strong and influential relationships, with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong problem solving, planning and analytical skills. Ability to collate and analyze large amounts of data to influence decision making.
