I'm looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior Account Executive to join our high-performing ANZ team at an incredibly exciting time. The Senior Account Executive is responsible for growing new business and achieving quota within a portfolio of State Government and Higher Education accounts. You will engage with high-value prospects, adding insight through consultative business development to uncover, qualify, manage, and close significant new business opportunities in these key sectors.
Working alongside our Brightly team members and colleagues from the local Siemens business, we seek an ambitious, resilient, and competitive professional who is relationship-oriented, organized, and strategic with a value-added mindset and curiosity for continuous learning.
This role can be fully remote or hybrid if you work in the Melbourne Office. We are open to candidates from all over Australia for fully remote employment.
What You'll Be Doing
• Achieve quota through new sales with State Government and Higher Education prospects and existing accounts
• Prepare and execute strategic plans
• Navigate complex sales processes at C-Suite level in public sector and higher education environments
• Sell long-term vision balanced with near-term actions and clear ROI milestones
• Build strong relationships with senior executives in target sectors
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Provide thought leadership through speaking engagements in target sectors
• Project manage procurement processes to ensure urgency and predictability
• Stay current with SaaS and asset management trends specific to public sector and higher education needs
• Travel as needed (up to 40%)
What You Need
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 10-15 years of Sales or Account Management experience
• Demonstrated success closing individual ARR of $500,000 to $2 million
• Domain expertise in State Government and/or Higher Education sectors
• Experience with asset management is preferred
• Experience selling enterprise software solutions to public sector and/or higher education institutions
• Deep understanding of public sector and/or higher education procurement processes and funding cycles
• Strong solution selling background with executive-level engagement skills
• Ability to work within a large organization while maintaining startup flexibility
• Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business applications
