We are looking for an Electrical Power Laboratory Professional, Second Shift. This position will be based onsite in Tucker GA.
Siemens is looking for a Lab Professional, preferably with low/medium voltage products experience to perform standardized electrical tests as directed per UL, CSA, and other certification bodies under the direction of lab team lead. In addition, they will produce accurate and detailed testing documentation describing the performance of various electrical devices including circuit breakers, controls devices, and distribution equipment.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Electrical Testing & Certification – Perform standardized electrical tests (temperature, short circuit, mechanical and electrical endurance, environmental) in accordance with UL, CSA, and other certification bodies under direction of the lab team lead.
- Documentation & Reporting – Produce detailed and accurate reports describing device performance (circuit breakers, control devices, distribution equipment) and maintain testing manuals, records, and procedures.
- Test Equipment & Software Management – Select, operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade test equipment and software per testing requirements, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Process Implementation & Quality Systems – Implement and ensure adherence to specific methods, procedures, and quality system documentation; identify and execute process and test sequence improvements.
- Design & Development of Test Programs – Design and test sequences, create test instructions, estimate scope, select measuring equipment, and document the full testing process from start to finish.
- Analysis & Diagnostics – Compile, analyze, and interpret test results; introduce diagnostic measures when deviations occur and initiate corrective actions.
- Training & Safety – Train and direct lab personnel as needed, cross-train in Power Lab areas, and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 2-year AAS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering field of study
- 3+ years of experience with the following:
- Usage of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters
- Working knowledgeable of National or International Standards (e.g., UL, CSA, IEC) when required by test requirements
- Microsoft Office Suite
- PC skills, to include basic programming skills
- Exercising strong at multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Acting as an SME to other technicians
- Ability to 30% travel domestically as needed
- Ability to work day shift while training
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the electrical field
- Hands on experience with LV/MV switchgear, power controls, and/or power distribution
- Experience with circuit breakers and wiring from residential size (15A) through industrial size (up to 6000A)
- ISO 9001, 17025 documentation requirements
- LabVIEW programming
- PLC programming with Simatic and LOGO
- Experience using thermocouples

The pay range for this position is $53,337 - - $86,292 + shift differential annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
