Safety Manager
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will take the responsibility of implementing all elements of Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (“EHSQ”) management system in entire business operations especially the engineering activities on construction sites. The primary responsibilities include:
To manage and supervise all safety issues
To lead and monitor the safety teams
To monitor the implementation of Safety Management System in accordance with company EHSQ policy and legislative requirements
To ensure compliance with local safety regulations and corporate and project requirements
To establish and review safety standards, procedures and training programs
To prepare, review and revise risk assessment, health and safety plan and environmental management plan whenever necessary
To prepare and coordinate F&IU Audit; and to assist ISO Audits
To liaise with customer’s safety management teams
To co-ordinate all aspects of safety management for work teams on site
To conduct safety training, site inspections, audits and incident/ accident investigation and preparing reports
To implement safety promotion and activities (project and corporate level)
To carry out other duties as required
Requirements:
Individuals who meet the following requirements or possess the equivalent combination of competence and experience are invited to apply:
Degree or above in Science / Engineering/ Occupational Safety and Health Environmental Studies or related field
Registered Safety Officer with HK Labour Department with min. 8 years post-registration experience
Min. 5 years MTR railway project experience (3 years of which is a senior safety officer or safety manager level in project is preferred)
Knowledge of Railway systems like Signalling is an advantage
Registered Safety Auditor with HK Labour Department is an advantage
Qualified auditor / internal auditor in ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 9001 is an advantage
Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Cantonese
Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Strong problem solving, time management and team building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese Word Processing
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Environmental, Health & Safety Manager/ Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Officer
Immediately available is highly preferred
Working location: Fo Tan, Kwun Tong and various project sites
Night shift work will be required
