Looking for challenging role? If you really want to make a difference - make it with us
Can we energize society and fight climate change at the same time?
At Siemens Energy, we can. Our technology is key, but our people make the difference. Brilliant minds innovate. They connect, create, and keep us on track towards changing the world’s energy systems. Their spirit fuels our mission.
Our culture is defined by caring, agile, respectful, and accountable individuals. We value excellence of any kind. Sounds like you?
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:
- Responsible for designing Gas Turbine rotating & stationary components (e.g. blades & vanes, rotor, casing etc.) to meet full spectrum of design requirements (functionality, robustness, cost effectiveness, manufacturing technology, assembly and service requirements)
- Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype mechanical products and assemblies
- Collaborating with marketing and industrial design teams to develop products that meet technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements
- May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment
- Development of innovative design solutions. Controlling risk of design changes with appropriate methods like FMEA.
- Apply appropriate methods which focus on robust design, like tolerance, analysis, standards and design rules.
- Create, evaluate, review and apply specifications and other technical documents, e.g. design philosophy, purchasing specification, working specification, drawings, BOM, MM, check lists, manufacturing data, standard part calculations and component description.
- Create/prepare/review 2D and 3D CAD model of individual/assembly NX model of Gas Turbine stationary and Rotating components. Tool experience in NX will be preferred.
- Exposure & experience in model-based definition or PMI will be preferred
- Create, understand, review & modify manufacturing/assembly/fabrication drawings of Gas Turbine components. Create/review bill of material, Material Master, inspection specification of GT components as per SIEMENS ENERGY standard practice.
- Seamless transfer of product definition input and output between CAD modeler and project lead respectively.
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our innovative team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in gas turbine design. Imagine contributing from conceptual solutions to detailed design, implementation, and service. In this engaging role, you will create detailed CAD models, drawings, and specifications for our products and manufacturing processes. You will provide essential technical support to procurement, external suppliers, and global Siemens Energy sites, while also managing fault reports from service department. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your design and leadership skills while working on gas turbine solutions, both rotor and stator construction.
