Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compensation Analyst to support our Compensation team with a focus on reporting, dashboard development, and improving commission processes. This role plays a key part in delivering data-driven insights and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our sales and incentive compensation programs.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in data analysis, visualization, and business process improvement, with a collaborative mindset and a passion for problem-solving.

   

Responsibilities:

Reporting & Dashboard Development (60%)

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to monitor compensation program performance, commission payouts, and key metrics.
  • Automate recurring reports and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness through process and system enhancements.
  • Translate complex compensation data into actionable insights and visualizations for HR, Finance, and Sales leadership.
  • Partner with IT, HRIS, Commissions, and Finance teams to ensure seamless data integration and reporting scalability.
  • Analyze historical compensation and performance trends to support compensation plan evaluations and forecasting.
 

Commissions Process Improvement (40%)

  • Analyze current commission workflows and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and error reduction.
  • Document and improve end-to-end commission processing, including eligibility tracking, payout calculations, approvals, and audit controls.
  • Collaborate with Sales Effectiveness, Finance/Commissions, and HR to ensure timely and accurate commission processing.
  • Assist in implementing tools and platforms for commission management and reporting.
  • Support compliance and audit readiness by maintaining accurate records and documentation of compensation processes.
 

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a compensation, sales operations, or financial/data analyst role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI).
  • Experience with compensation systems or commission platforms (e.g., Xactly, Callidus, Varicent, SAP).
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar data querying tools is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage and reconcile large datasets.
 

Nice to Have:

 
  • Experience working in a sales-driven or performance-based compensation environment.
  • Exposure to Agile or Lean process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
