Position Overview
Siemens is seeking a passionate and strategic leader to manage and expand our technical talent early career program for the Power Protection and Automation (PPA) business. This role will oversee the full ecosystem of early talent programs that support the long-term growth of our business. This includes all engineering and technical workforce roles including: Interns, Co-Ops, Apprentices, Technician Development Program (PA TDP) along with support and coaching for our flagship Engineering Development Program (PA EDP)
This manager will play a critical role in developing the next generation of engineers and technicians through structured learning, Power Academy training, and hands-on rotational experiences. They will collaborate closely with the Technical Talent Director to ensure alignment with the Protection & Automation Engineering Development Program (PA EDP) and Siemens’ broader strategy for workforce development and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Be a leading voice in strategy and vision for technical talent development across the PPA organization.
- Lead and enhance the Intern, Co-op, Apprentice, and Technician Development (PA TDP) programs, providing structured learning and hands-on rotations that prepare participants for PPA roles.
- Partner with Power Academy and subject-matter experts to deliver effective technical curriculum and certification paths aligned with PPA needs.
- Strengthen collaboration with universities and technical schools, supporting Siemens’ academic outreach, PA Labs, and SCADA/Power Academy initiatives.
- Mentor participants and ensure consistent feedback, career growth, and alignment to Siemens values.
- Measure program outcomes and adjust strategies to meet talent pipeline goals and future workforce demand.
- Collaborate with the Technical Talent Director and PPA leadership to align all early-talent efforts with organizational objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or engineering degree plus relevant power industry experience
- 1+ years of engineering management, team leader, technical project leader or technical trainer experience with power protection & automation.
- Proven experience developing, mentoring, and training engineers.
- Strong communications skills and demonstrated presentation skills to diverse audiences.
- Must be physically in the Wendell, NC (Raleigh Area) Office 3+ days a week
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Substation Protection, Automation, and Network Communications solutions.
- Experience leading early-talent, technician, or apprenticeship programs.
- Familiarity with Siemens Power Academy or similar structured learning environments.

The pay range for this position is $102,459 - $175,644 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
