Your New role – challenging and future-oriented

The main areas of role and responsibilities, including the competencies that are particularly important to fulfill the role will be as under

  • Advise and assist management in fulfilling legal requirements and implementing the EHS management system at Steam/Gas Turbine project sites, including Supervision sites, New Installations, Modifications & Upgradations (M&U), Footprint Replacement, and Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS) projects.
  • Support the Project Management team, Contractors, and Customers in fostering a Zero Harm culture and ensuring compliance with EHS requirements at project sites.
  • Plan EHS activities for installation, erection, supervision, commissioning, and warranty phases of project sites in coordination with the Supply Chain and Field Service Manager.
  • Assist the Project Management team in initial site EHS setup, including site kick-off meetings, inspection of tools, tackles, equipment, and implementation of EHS processes.
  • Prepare and periodically review the Site EHS Plan, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Procedures; provide status updates on CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) rolled out by the back office.
  • Contractor EHS management - support SCM and Project Managers in contractor EHS qualification checks, performance evaluations, improvement roadmaps, engagement, monitoring, and reviews.
  • Guide Contractors and collaborate with Customers in developing a Zero Harm culture and driving continual improvement.
  • Conduct EHS training sessions for site employees and contractors.
  • Support Site Leads/In-charges in achieving EHS objectives, targets, and management programs.
  • Report, investigate, and analyze incidents; track compliance of corrective actions.
  • Ensure on-time reporting of incidents and submission of monthly EHS reports using company tools.
  • Maintain high data quality standards and ensure accuracy in EHS reporting.
  • Analyze EHS data and utilize insights to plan targeted EHS programs and improvement initiatives.
  • Compile and communicate EHS MIS (Management Information System) reports as per defined frequency.
  • Plan and conduct site EHS audits and risk assessments in line with the audit schedule.
  • Recommend resources and solutions for EHS improvements.
  • Interface with Customers and other stakeholders related to business operations.
  • Collaborate with other Execution Unit (EU) EHS teams and the Corporate EHS function to work on initiatives and share learnings and best practices.
  • Support the EU EHS Manager in various EHS aspects and initiatives.
  • Drive EHS campaigns across the Project business.
  • Plan and conduct competency development programs for the EHS team within the business.
  • Develop training modules for worker EHS training at project sites.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds

  • Professional qualifications: Diploma/Advance diploma in industrial safety or B-Tech/ M-Tech in Safety. NEBOSH IGC will be an added advantage.
  • Basic qualifications: Degree/Diploma in any branch of Engineering or Science Graduate.
  • Work experience at installation, commissioning, servicing & maintenance project sites at least for 8 to 10 years. Work experience as safety Officer in Industrial Steam/Gas Turbine or Power Plant project sites preferred.
  • At least 4 to 6 years as independent site EHS in-charge.
  • Ability to handle multiple Contractors and project sites.
  • Detailed knowledge of all installation, erection, commissioning and warranty and supervision requirements pertaining to EHS.
  • Adequate knowledge of EHS Procedures applicable for project sites.
  • Familiar with best EHS Practices in the industry.
  • Able to independently conduct EHS planning, EHS audits, EHS Training, Hazard Identification Risk Assessment, reporting and Contractor evaluation.
  • Preparation of MIS and presentation to the Project management.
  • Fluency in English & Hindi to communicate efficiently with stakeholders.
