We are seeking an experienced software engineer with a keen eye for detail and strong interpersonal skills to join our international team. The role focuses on the design and implementation of highly scalable data?intensive applications. Ideal candidates will have a robust software engineering background, experience in the design and implementation of highly scalable data-intensive applications, exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficient English communication skills. They can work effectively in a team environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You'll make an impact by

• You will architect and develop highly scalable, fault-tolerant data processing systems and data pipelines for both batch and streaming data, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of high volume and complex data workflows
• Following the initial development, you will take full responsibility for the long-term operation of these systems, which includes conducting performance enhancements, evaluating and implementing feature requests, as well as timely bug fixes and security updates
• Additionally, you will analyze system performance by monitoring outputs to detect potential issues early and make decisions regarding long-term strategic enhancements
• Your role will also involve designing and implementing new features to extend the capabilities of existing data-intensive applications, focusing on optimizing latency, resource use, and overall efficiency
• Finally, you will work extensively with various database technologies and distributed computing frameworks to efficiently process large volumes of data while ensuring high levels of performance and cost-effectiveness in a cloud-native environment

This is how you'll win us over

• Education: You possess a Master's degree with initial relevant work experience or a Bachelor's degree with several years of work experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Experience and Skills:
  • Proficient in one or more general-purpose programming languages, with high proficiency in Python and Java being advantageous
  • Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a deep understanding of their serverless offerings
  • Experienced in designing and implementing APIs using various web frameworks such as FastAPI or Django
  • Skilled in building and optimizing complex data pipelines, and experienced with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, Hadoop, or Kafka Streams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data systems, management on Change Data Capture and Auditable Data systems.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices (e.g., agile development, short development cycles and lean development).
  • Deep understanding of graph theory and graph algorithms is a big plus.
• Ways of Working: You demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and are adept at managing and optimizing data-intensive applications and systems
• Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken
