Asst Vice President - Sales (Solar Equipment Financing)
Location: North (Gurgaon)
Experience Required: 7 to 10 years in Sales/Business Development, with at least 3-5 years sales experience in solar equipment financing or renewable energy lending.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead sales efforts in the solar equipment financing space. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solar EPC ecosystems, equipment vendors, and financing structures tailored to the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and SME segments.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and onboard new clients for solar equipment financing across India.
Build strategic partnerships with EPCs, OEMs, and solar channel partners.
Develop and manage a robust pipeline of solar financing opportunities.
Drive end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
Structure financing solutions (loans, leases, capex funding) aligned with customer needs.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Liaise with internal teams (credit, legal, operations) to ensure smooth execution.
Conduct joint customer meetings with EPCs and vendors to pitch financing solutions.
Represent the company at solar industry events and forums.
Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments.
Provide feedback to product and credit teams for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in solar equipment financing, renewable energy lending, or asset-based financing.
Strong network in the solar industry (EPCs, OEMs, channel partners).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
Willingness to travel across regions as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with digital lending platforms or fintech in renewable energy.
Familiarity with government schemes and policies related to solar financing (e.g., MNRE, net metering, ALMM).
Exposure to rooftop solar, open access, and hybrid solar models.
