Position Overview:

As a Group Lead Manufacturing Technician, in our Bogie department, you will provide the coordination for daily duties, work assignments to all team members, closely monitor the manufacturing progress, drive safety initiatives, and provide support of assigned employees.


What your day will look like:

  • Lead daily operations by assigning tasks and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Train team members and conduct job safety assessments for new tasks.
  • Coordinate schedules and workflow with leadership to maintain efficiency.
  • Communicate work plans and performance updates to supervisors.
  • Review time sheets and labor documentation.
  • Utilize systems such as eSlic, Mpulse, and iWarehouse to manage tasks and resources.
  • Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings for troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
  • Support safety initiatives through regular meetings and escalate concerns as needed.


What will make you thrive in this role:

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Demonstrated Mechanical and Electrical aptitude.
  • Exhibits ability to utilize SAP proficiently.
  • Proven ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Experience in successfully leading a diverse team in a production environment.
  • Track record of actively engaging in problem-solving and implementing effective countermeasures within assigned area of responsibility.


What would make you stand out:

  • 3 + years of experience planning and supporting launch of new production lines in a low-speed production environment (e.g. rail, aviation/aerospace, naval, heavy equipment, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (Or Equivalent Experience)
  • Work experience in the rail business, preferably in light rail, heavy rail, or related production, is needed.
  • Practical experience in Customer Service / Maintenance / After Market businesses and technologies within the rail industry.

  • Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

This role is located in Sacramento, CA. The hourly range for this position is $22.29- $26.22. This is a first shift position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
