At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics. To further drive our successful growth, we will expand our locations in a targeted manner over the next few years. The topics of digitalization and simulations support us in planning for the future and in implementation.
Based in Oradea, we are looking for a “Production Planning Specialist” that helps us to optimize and manage our materials buying/planning.
What part will you play
· You are responsible for the customer orders of our world-wide customers for your responsible product areas, including order entry, promised date compliance, backlog management, coordination of material shipments, on time delivery, order expediting, and status/tracking of orders.
· Processing of changes to customer orders (order cancellations or adjustments of quantity, date, shipping parameters etc.)
· You oversee and control the process chain from order intake up to the supply to the customer.
· Part of this is also production control and production levelling (volume, pieces/hours, product mix) to improve operational capacity/flexibility, reworking and prioritizing schedules for work centers that are over capacity to ensure that the production schedule aligns with OTD goals. This also includes work in process / intermediates.
· Maintenance of customer relationships: Besides our suppliers, to drive order issue resolution and customer satisfaction, you are working cross-functionally with appropriate team members on updates to work orders due to customer, engineering/technical, or vendor changes.
· Ensure highest possible forecast accuracy and on-time delivery: You are controlling the on-time accuracy of customer & production orders, taking action in case of any disruptions or order backlog in production.
· You compare new forecast versions compare with actual order intake values and to create a monthly turnover plan and you proactively run and analyze reports to determine orders to be released to meet revenue numbers and customer demand.
· Maintenance of order management & production planning related master data
· You work closely with sales, production, and other internal departments
· You lead or co-lead & drive process improvement projects for your responsible product groups, e.g. technical change, phase in/phase-out, KPI performance optimization or on department level regarding digitalization or improvement of the order management and production planning process.
· Realization of End-to-End (E2E) solutions in your area by digital transformation, using latest state of the art alerting, RPA, and AI where applicable
· KPI Monitoring: You regularly establish & analyze logistical KPIs in your area and take action where there is need for improvement.
What you need to make real what matters.
· Bachelor or Master`s degree preferably in business administration, industrial engineering or logistics.
· Minimum of 3-5 additional years of experience in operations order management & production planning and production levelling
· Very good proficiency of English (spoken & written) is an absolute must to this role since you work in an international environment. Proficiency of German is a big benefit.
· A firm understanding of SAP R/3 or SAP S4 (SD and PP module) and openness to AI-driven or RPA-optimized planning tools.
· Basic knowledge of process improvement approaches and LEAN manufacturing / Value stream optimization.
· Good MS Office experience, including excellent spreadsheet skills.
· Basic knowledge of project management, having at least partially managed smaller projects
· Proven analytical and organizational ability.
· Highly analytical with persuasive abilities.
· Able to work autonomously and be a proactive problem solver with effective problem identification and solution skills, including ability to lead smaller process improvement projects.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Personally, you are a great in teamwork and putting things into practice.
· Innovations (digitalization, data analytics, process improvements) are your passion and you also drive them forward independently.
· 2-3 business trips per year to Germany are not a problem for you.
