 Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Tendering Engineer with deep expertise in EHV substation projects (66kV and above). The ideal candidate will handle the tendering process from bid evaluation to submission, ensuring technical and commercial compliance with client requirements. This role demands strong coordination with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to deliver winning proposals in a competitive environment.
Key
 Responsibilities:

Tender Management:
o Analyze tender documents (RFQs, RFPs, BOQs, specifications) for EHV substation projects.
o Prepare comprehensive techno-commercial proposals in line with client expectations and internal capabilities.
o Develop bid strategies and pricing models to maximize competitiveness and profitability.

 Technical Expertise:

o Interpret single-line diagrams, layouts, and protection schemes for EHV substations .AIS / GIS.
o Coordinate with design teams to finalize equipment sizing, configurations, and technical compliance.
o Evaluate vendor quotations for major equipment (transformers, switchgear, GIS, control systems).
? Stakeholder Coordination:
o Liaise with internal departments (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal) to gather inputs for bid preparation.
o Interface with clients and consultants for pre-bid queries, clarifications, and negotiations.

 Costing & Estimation:

o Prepare detailed cost breakdowns including material, labor, logistics, and overheads.
o Conduct risk analysis and contingency planning for complex tenders.
📈 Documentation & Compliance:
o Ensure all submissions meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
o Maintain records of tender submissions, revisions, and outcomes for future reference.

 Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in tendering for EHV substations (66kV to 765kV).
Strong understanding of IEC/IS standards, grid codes, and utility specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and tendering software (e.g., SAP, Primavera).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

Exposure to Brownfield projects AIS / GIS extension ,international tenders .
Experience with turnkey EPC bids including civil, electrical scope.
Familiarity with GIS substations and hybrid solutions
