Software Automated Test Engineer in Embedded for Laboratory Diagnostic Systems

Your Profile
Must have skills:
- Experienced in C programming for embedded systems
- Deep knowledge of CAN Bus systems (both generic and proprietary variants). Experience with handling bus overflow, message prioritization, and unpredictable behavior is crucial
- Hands-on experience with hardware testing and knowledge of NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand and NUnit
Nice to have skills:
- Proven experience with microprocessor/firmware development, preferably with TI microcontrollers (c2000, Hercules, ARM R5F, M33, and M85)
- Experience with low-level communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, etc.
- Experience with hardware interfaces ADC, DAC, motor controls, sensors, etc.
- Understanding of MathWorks Simulink and Stateflow
- Experience with CI/CD would be a strong advantage
- Solid general electrical knowledge, especially in control systems and feedback loops
The Problems You Will Solve:
You will become the first member of our Slovakia-based team, collaborating closely with colleagues in the US and India to shift system intelligence from high-level Windows platforms down to the device control level (DCL) and ensure high quality and stability of the system.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying your expertise in stress and boundary testing to create exceptionally fault-tolerant systems
- Developing automated regression tests and test suites to ensure robustness of the system
- Expanding our use of CAN bus for all internal sensor communication, ensuring stability and preventing system shutdowns from bus overflow
- Designing and implementing robust firmware for subsystems that can operate immediately upon power-on, before the full OS boots
- Contributing to our mission to deliver high end innovative healthcare products to people all over the world

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 3000 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
