Position Overview:
The Production Control Representative plays a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by ensuring efficient planning, coordination, and execution of production schedules. This dynamic position serves as the bridge between materials management, order management, and production teams to maintain seamless workflows and meet delivery timelines. With a focus on proactive problem-solving, inventory accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration, this role is instrumental in enabling the high-quality production of our cutting-edge rail vehicles.

What your day may look like:
- Release work orders (Material, Standard hours WOs, Non-Standard hours WOs) promptly to align with production and project schedules.
- Run and analyze reports to confirm material availability and escalate critical shortages to Production, Material Planners, and Material Program Managers prior to work order releases.
- Respond quickly to production needs, including but not limited to processing shop floor shortages, handling Quality Notifications, ordering replacement parts, and returning excess material to the warehouse.
- Escalate mis-picks and other warehouse-related issues promptly to warehouse leadership, ensuring accurate material handling and actively collaborating to prevent recurring production delays.
- Perform WBS transfers as required, ensuring proper approvals from Material Program Managers and Project Commercial Managers before execution.
- Actively follow up with production teams to ensure timely closure of work orders.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts on production floor to ensure SAP data integrity and compliance.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production, shop floor inventory, warehouse operations, quality, and other cross-functional areas.
- Communicate production status and risks to management and stakeholders through active participation in shop floor meetings and other appropriate channels.
What you will need to be successful:
- High School Diploma/GED plus 3–5 years in supply chain or production planning within a manufacturing environment, including leadership experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Materials Management, Logistics, or related field plus 1 year in a manufacturing setting
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Familiarity with MRP systems; SAP experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue escalation
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks quickly

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The salary range for this position is $63,852 - $73,338. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
