We are looking for Scheduler – Locomotive Control

As a scheduler, you play a central role in planning and managing software releases within the locomotive platform. You will design the scheduling concept, integrate release timelines into the overall project structure, and continuously analyse project progress to identify critical paths early and develop targeted countermeasures. In close coordination with technical managers and other interface partners, you contribute significantly to the on-time delivery of complex software releases.
Your responsibilities will include:
- You develop the concept for schedule management and the structure of the schedule, taking into account project requirements (e.g., structuring, data integration, reporting, etc.) for software releases within the locomotive platform.
- You coordinate with technical managers and schedule reporters to ensure baseline planning and regular updates.
- You support the integration of release schedules into the overall project planning, including the representation of the critical path.
- In close collaboration with the release's technical managers, you create schedule analyses, including critical path, buffer times, and milestone trend analysis.
- You continuously review the schedule against project progress (planned vs. actual) and identify potentially critical situations. In case of delays, you work with the technical manager and involved departments to develop suitable countermeasures and assess their effectiveness based on the updated schedule.
- You collaborate closely and trustfully with your interface partners (e.g., engineering, project management, internal approval).
- You present your results to project management, technical management, and senior leadership.
- Open communication within the team and a willingness to collaborate internationally are expected.
Desired Skills:
- Your success is built on a completed technical bachelor’s degree (e.g., electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering).
- Several years of professional experience as a scheduler in plant/project business with a focus on software, preferably in rail vehicle technology.
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling methods (network planning, milestone trend analysis) and project planning and controlling methods.
- Familiarity with software development processes and release management.
- Advanced skills in software-based scheduling tools, preferably Primavera EPPM P6 or similar tools (e.g., MS Project), OƯice365 programs including Copilot/AI, and openness to new technologies and tools.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with proven ability to work effectively in complex matrix structures.
- Good communication and presentation skills complete your profile.
