Job Summary:

The Plant Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance and control processes within the electronics manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all products meet the required standards and specifications, and that the manufacturing processes are efficient and compliant with Siemens regulations.
 
Reports to:  BU QM&GCC Quality Subfunction Manager in Headquarter; locally to the Country business unit Quality head.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Strategy
  • Being the partner of the plant manager 
  • Ensuring the quality standards of SI EA within your location  
  • Aligning and implementing the yearly strategy and budget with your subfunction manager  
Quality Assurance: 
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Supervise the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Using the authority to stop unsafe work, production and processes if the corresponding quality is not fulfilled  
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and control production quality.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) including the non-conformance cost analysis.
Process Improvement: 
  • Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements.
Compliance: 
  • Establish and maintain quality documentation, including quality manuals, procedures and work instructions based on global standard processes.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 9001 and other industry-specific certifications (ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO27001). 
  • Conduct regular audits of the manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Prepare for and manage external audits and inspections.
  • Ensure implementation of the QM&GCC digitalization topics  
Team Management: 
  • Lead and manage the quality assurance & Return and Repair team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
Reporting: 
  • Steering of KPI monitoring
  • Generate & present detailed quality reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), trend analysis, findings and areas for improvement.
Customer Interaction: 
  • Address customer complaints and quality concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Work with customers to understand their quality requirements and ensure these are met.
Supplier Quality Management: 
  • Collaborate with suppliers and the Supplier Quality Management network to ensure the quality of raw materials and components used in production.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve the quality of supplied materials.
 
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical engineering preferable in electronics &/or electrical engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

Experience: 
o 10-15 years of overall experience, out of which, minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, best within the electronics manufacturing industry.
o Leadership & intercultural experience
Certifications: 
o Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is preferred.
o Certified auditor for ISO 9001, additional ISO knowledge is a benefit  

Skills:
o Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control methodologies like 8D methodology, Ishikawa Diagram, 5Why, APQP, FMEA and Value Stream
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
o Strong leadership and team management abilities.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
o Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
o English and local language on a professional level  
 
Working Conditions:
This position is based in a manufacturing plant environment and may require occasional travel to supplier sites or customer locations.
