Position overview:
Siemens Mobility Inc., Rolling Stock, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Deputy Project Manager to work for our Bogie business in Sacramento, CA. While focusing o the Bogie Operations for our Metro-Bogie components, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of additional exciting rail projects - including Locomotives, Passenger Coaches and Light Rails - for customers within North-America and also internationally with our headquarters in Germany and Austria.

What your day may look like:
- Support the Project Manager in managing day-to-day operations of cross-functional teams (Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Quality) across multiple sites.
- Ensure seamless communication with logistics, production, quality teams, suppliers, and customers to maintain alignment and meet deadlines.
- Coordinate component shipments and monitor delivery schedules to guarantee timely product availability.
- Develop and cascade operational targets aligned with overall project objectives to drive team performance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, risks, opportunities, and resource allocation to ensure successful execution.
- Engage with stakeholders—including clients and suppliers—to maintain high customer satisfaction, including managing change orders, claims, and warranty activities.
- Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to management, highlighting key milestones and performance metrics.
What will make you successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (or related field), or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a project-based, low-volume, high-complexity production environment.
- Demonstrated project management expertise, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience managing or coordinating operational teams in a related industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
- Effective presentation skills and experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% based on project requirements.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The salary range for this position is $82,212 - $96,492. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
