Siemens Energy India Limited is looking for a skilled Materials Engineer to join our global Technology & Data Application group. The candidate will collaborate with experts, maintain and develop best practices, configure Material Center (Hexagon Software); Jointly decide if new functionality is mature and robust enough for deployment to Mechanical Integrity community. Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

Material Center Software 

Support the process of Material Center upgrade (database and software).
Work with developers from Hexagon (supplier of MaterialCenter).
Administration of user accounts (create new accounts as per request, delete/disable stalled user accounts, etc.).

Interaction with Design Tools

Maintain CAE-card generation process within MaterialCenter by means of Java script/CAE-mappings and execute CAE-card creation for requested materials. Also generate and test new CAE-cards based on user/team request. (CAE-card is a placeholder term used within MaterialCenter for pre-compiled data/input files that are used in analysis software like Ansys, Abaqus, NX, Nasgro, etc.)
Test Material Center database functionalities including accessibility of data via Safe-PG, web-interface, and MC-Explorer tool (design tools query).
Coordinate with Safe-PG developers to ensure consistent variable definitions with lifing tools.
Reply to user requests regarding Material Center usage.

Material Center Database

Maintenance of material property data structures including adding, modifying, removing property structures such that all required information can be stored (model data, pedigree, etc.).
Interact/attend material FTRs to ensure property data is generated in consistent format required for lifing and design tools (curves vs. Coeff., temperature points, subcategories of MATID, etc.).
Update data that is stored in Material Center database, i.e. upload of new/changed material data and pedigree as well as pre-compiled material specific data files.
Ensure property data packages contain necessary release requirements prior to Material Center upload (necessary tabs, signature, storage in historical LAN location, etc.).
Communicate frequent releases of new properties to design teams with some emphasis to groups which may see notable impact or disruption in design calculations.
Ensure consistency between different property sets which are coupled within life calculations or curves (Elastic->Fatigue/FM, Creep Model->Life Distributions, etc.).



We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

Master’s degree in engineering, Design, or a related field
3+ years of professional experience in a related field. 
Exposure to Material properties relevant to the Mechanical Integrity engineers
Software development experience – JavaScript, Python and MATLAB.
