Data Excellence Specialist Internship
- Supporting initiatives that improve data quality, standardization, and accessibility across business systems.
- Assisting with data stewardship activities to maintain high-quality datasets for analytics and reporting.
- Mapping end-to-end processes for material creation, extension, and migration, including both manual and automated workflows.
- Identifying gaps and improvement opportunities within material-related data processes and governance.
- Developing analytics solutions to provide transparency and actionable insights.
- Supporting the development of Power BI training curricula for business users, from beginner to advanced topics, including data models, Power Query, and visualizations.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics or a related field. Candidates must not graduate prior to September 2026.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.
- Experience with or exposure to Power BI, including dashboards, visualizations, or data models.
- Familiarity with Visio for process mapping and PowerPoint for communication and training materials.
- Basic understanding of data architecture concepts or data systems.
- Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Experience with business process optimization, governance, or data standardization efforts.
- Hands-on experience developing analytics solutions to support business decision-making.
- Ability to understand and document complex business processes end to end.
- Experience creating or supporting training materials or learning content for business users.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and willingness to learn new data tools and processes.
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 per hour for first time Interns or $25.50 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
