Computer Electronics Engineer ( m/f/d)
At our Siemens Foundation Technologies R&D Center in Prague we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.
We would like o invite you to cooperate on the development of industrial automation products. We focus on complete product development and integration across the entire automation system. We are currently seeking Computer Electronics Engineer interested in contributing to the PROFINET communication ASICs development.
Your task will be:
- Design and create function specifications and electronic schematics.
- Perform comprehensive measurements, validation, and troubleshooting in our hardware lab using industry-standard equipment.
- Develop, prototype, and test evaluation boards and reference designs for PROFINET ASICs.
- Collaborate closely with IC designers, hardware architects, and firmware engineers.
- Write and debug testing firmware in C for bare-metal environments, supporting board bring-up and hardware validation.
- Prepare documentation and reports for internal and customer-facing use.
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Good knowledge of electronics, including switching power supplies, digital logic design, basic signal integrity concepts.
- Working knowledge of microcontrollers or System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures.
- Capability to write and debug basic C firmware for bare-metal testing scenarios.
- Practical experience with electronic measurements in a hardware lab.
- Team player with strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience with programming in C#, advanced C, GIT, Python.
- Experience with high-speed interfaces such as PCI-Express, DDR3/4, 1G Ethernet.
- Exposure to EMC design and pre-compliance testing.
