As Head of Engineering Software Building Automation, you are responsible for the success of the Engineering Software product family within the Building Automation product line. In this role, you will manage, develop, and support our Engineering Software tool suite in close collaboration with the other product families within the Building Automation product line and our countries. This role requires operational leadership to deliver world-class products that are innovative, best-in-class in terms of workflows, as well as leading in cybersecurity. You will manage distributed teams across all major regions to stay ahead of market trends and outperform competition.

 

Location: this role will be based in Zug/Switzerland. Please note that qualified candidates need to be legally eligible for work authorization in Switzerland.

 

Your new responsibilities:

Lead and develop a competitive Engineering software offering

  • Understand customer needs, market and technology trends, and prioritize to achieve highest impact
  • Engage with key customers to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction
  • Drive continuous improvements in engineering and commissioning workflow efficiency including UX optimizations
  • Create and deliver the Engineering Software tool suite roadmaps on time and within budget
  • Manage product development projects / value streams associated with the product family
  • Ensure products meet specifications, regulations, and highest quality standards
  • Integrate cybersecurity into product specifications

Manage operational excellence

  • Propose yearly product family investments
  • Manage product family budget, optimizing costs and timelines

Build, develop, and empower a strong Engineering Software team

  • Lead and develop the Engineering Software team
  • Develop team members' capabilities
  • Foster empowerment, growth mindset, and engagement within the team

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field
  • Comprehensive and strategic experience in product management, with a focus on innovation and scalability
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product strategies for complex software portfolios within Building Automation or related industries
  • Proven leadership track record in successfully leading global product management and development teams towards measurable success
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, influencing decision-makers across global regions
  • Outstanding leadership capabilities: building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of empowerment
  • Ability to structure and prioritize, strong bias toward decisions and action
  • Exceptional proficiency in English communication skills
