About the Role
Siemens DISW's Electronics, Semiconductor and Industrial Machinery Business focuses on providing software solutions tailored to the specific needs of customers in these complex industries. The presales organization within Siemens DISW's Industrial Machinery Business plays a crucial role in understanding customer needs, demonstrating the value of Siemens solutions, and assisting potential clients in making informed decisions about adopting Siemens DISW's products and services.
Job Profile / Position Overview
- Collaborate with major accounts to understand business and technical needs, and architect PLM solutions focused on digital transformation.
- Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, aligning technical solutions with customers’ long-term business objectives and transformation goals.
- Partner with Account Orchestrators to develop strategic plans and multi-year roadmaps that expand Siemens solutions and gain internal stakeholder support.
- Lead technical campaigns including presentations, demos, proof of concepts, and proposals to win new business.
- Oversee delivery of Siemens solutions, ensuring successful client adoption and setting the stage for future growth.
- Travel required: up to 50–70%.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Build trusted advisor relationships with clients, sales teams, and technical stakeholders.
- Analyze customer business structures and product lifecycle processes to identify opportunities.
- Guide customers in defining high-level requirements across product development, manufacturing, and support.
- Comfortable engaging, presenting, and influencing senior executive-level leaders.
- Provide insights into Siemens’ technical capabilities and business value, connecting technology to measurable outcomes.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and maintain 3-year technical roadmaps and adoption plans.
- Drive proactive engagement to identify transformation opportunities rather than reactively solving issues.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration through POD models to ensure execution aligns with strategic goals.
- Lead responses to RFIs, RFPs, and proof-of-concept evaluations.
- Coordinate technical and management review boards and manage client queries.

Minimum Requirements
- Must reside in the continental U.S.; preference given to candidates in Northern California or West Coast.
- 5+ years of experience in design/manufacturing processes and PLM consulting or support.
- Proven leadership in PLM deployment and cross-functional team management.
- Background in data management within the industrial machinery sector.

Preferred Knowledge / Skills, Education, and Experience
- Experience with EBOM/MBOM processes and NX CAD workflows.
- Familiarity with PLM integration to CPQ, ERP, MES, and quality systems.
- Knowledge of ECAD-MCAD collaboration and part classification migration to Siemens Teamcenter.
- EBOM/MBOM multi-domain BOM process and NX CAD process experience.
- Understanding of digital threads, software development practices and IoT.
- BS/BA in a technical or manufacturing-related field; MS/MBA preferred.
- Strong presentation and business value justification skills, with ability to influence at senior levels.
- Demonstrated ability to combine technical depth with strategic thinking, leveraging industry insights to guide customer decisions.

The pay range for this position is $146,700 - $293,400 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
