Are you a passionate Data Scientist eager to transform complex data into actionable insights and drive innovation in the realm of smart infrastructure? Siemens Smart Infrastructure IT Value Center, Data Intelligence & Automation (DIA) is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in leveraging cutting-edge AI tools, developing robust data products, and optimizing our data landscape to deliver tangible business value and shape the future of intelligent solutions.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities
• Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms to extract valuable insights from large, diverse data sets
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand their data and analytics needs, and translate them into effective data science solutions
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists, providing technical guidance and career development support
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance the company's analytical capabilities
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, presenting findings and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner
• Ensure data integrity, model accuracy, and overall quality of data science deliverables
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the company's data science infrastructure and tools

Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience as a data scientist or in a similar role, preferably in a multinational, fast-paced environment
• Proven expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and other advanced analytical techniques, with a strong understanding of their practical applications
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and experience working with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations
• Experience leading and mentoring data science teams, and a track record of driving impactful projects
• Strong business acumen and the ability to align data science initiatives with organizational goals
• Snowflake Proficiency: Strong experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, data manipulation, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc) and experience in presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders
