Localization Project Management Intern
Product Localization Group
Technology & Innovation Department

At DISW Product Localization we are working with enterprise level localization software to translate and adapt our products, documentation, and videos to meet the specific needs and preferences of a particular region, culture, or language. It involves translating software user interface and help materials to ensure that offerings resonate with local audiences.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of a second language and an understanding of software development and technical documentation. As a Localization Project Management intern, you will help with the successful planning and delivery of localization projects from various business stakeholders and across multiple environments. You’ll gain experience in the management of project workflows and processes. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in localizing software products (including SaaS) and Go-To-Market deliverables and insight into expanded program management. Insights gained are often also relevant for International Product Managers, providing them with additional foundational knowledge for international Go-To-Market activities.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate Workflows:
  • Manage various localization workflows, including regular translation projects and one-off assignments.
  • Communication:
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Help build and refine localization processes for different types of content.
  • Project Monitoring:
  • Monitor project progress, identify any issues, and address them promptly.
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Linguistics, Translation, Marketing, Localization Management, Project/Program Management, Information Development, International Studies, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Desire and ability to learn and apply new technologies and approaches.
Experience:
  • Prior experience in translation, localization or project management is a plus but not required.

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education. In addition, this position is eligible for time off in accordance with Company policies, including paid sick leave and paid volunteer time off.

You’ll Benefit From
The hourly pay range for this position is 18-50 per hour for first time Interns or 18-50 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
