The primary and majority function of this job is to manage a team. 

  • Provides direction to senior managers in various areas, groups, and/or operations. 
  • Manages personnel activities of staff (i.e. hires, trains, appraises, pay, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as necessary, etc.). 
  • Responsible for resource allocation, including budget and personnel. 
  • Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing customer expectations, on achieving high quality and on-time delivery. 
  • Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanism. 
  • Ability to understand complex products, solutions, and problems.
  • Creates, documents, and executes software designs which may involve significant re-architecture of important systems, defining and coordinating implementation of wide-reaching impacts. 
  • Has comprehensive and diversified knowledge of methods and practices in broad areas of the customers’ industry. 
  • Acts as Technical lead of projects that span multiple products. 
  • Recognized by customers as a leader in a variety of areas. 
  • Sets the technical direction for more than one area of a product. 
  • Sought out by others to solve their most complex of technical problems. 
  • Technical Lead in guiding junior engineers. 
  • Works without supervision on the most complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgment. 
  • Has technical expertise. 
  • Expert knowledge of the field.
  • The candidate will lead the Static R&D team with the charter to improve our competitiveness and increase our market share. 
  • The candidate will handle all day to day, global R&D activities. 
  • He will develop product roadmap, work closely with PE. PM, field and customers to align and report progress as needed. 
  • The candidate will develop and review specifications, track development, and work closely with QA to ensure quality and timely releases to the static customers.
  • The candidate will take initiatives to launch new static products, possibly static SDC verification, static DFT, and more. As such he would need to work across product teams, and cross BU to evaluate and understand the needs and complementarity of products to decide. 

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The pay range for this position is $180,400 - $324,700 annually with a target incentive of 15-25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
