We are looking for a Software QA Engineer – Associate who is passionate about Computer Aided Design, Mechanical Engineering as well as software quality. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will support software development through detailed testing by applying core mechanical engineering principles, general problem-solving skills, and test automation capabilities. This role is well-suited for an early-career engineer with a strong engineering foundation and the skills for analytical thinking.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the quality of our products by validating new features and thoroughly testing their behavior. You’ll apply finite element methods along with core principles from strength of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics to support analysis and verification activities.
Your work will include preparing, maintaining, and rapidly growing test cases that cover both the UI and API layers of Simlab, while also documenting your testing processes and results with clarity and precision.
You’ll support our automation efforts through Python-based test development and data processing, and you’ll work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges as they arise.
Your success is grounded in:
· An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, ideally in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
· A strong analytical mindset and the ability to approach problems with clarity and creativity.
· A solid understanding of core mechanical engineering principles, including basic finite element methods, strength of materials, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and vector algebra.
· Foundational experience with automation and scripting, especially using Python.
· Confidence in using Microsoft Office tools to create clear and effective documentation and reports.
· The flexibility to work comfortably across both Windows and Linux environments.
What will help you thrive in this role:
· Hands‑on experience with CAD software or exposure to a software testing environment.
· Practical familiarity with test automation frameworks such as pytest, Ranorex, Playwright, or similar tools.
· An understanding of CI/CD practices, along with experience using version control systems like Git and issue‑tracking tools such as Jira.
