Join us in pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably.

Our inspiring and caring environment forms a global community that celebrates diversity and individuality. We encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone, offering resources and flexibility to foster your professional and personal growth, all while valuing your unique contributions. Siemens Healthineers MR Magnet Technology is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of superconducting magnets for magnetic resonance imaging - over a third of MRI scanners installed worldwide have at their heart a magnet manufactured in our Eynsham factory. The business has been awarded several Queen’s Awards for export success, two Best Factory Awards and an IMechE Manufacturing Excellence Award and is justifiably proud of its engineering and manufacturing heritage. As a result of internal movement we are now seeking an experienced manufacturing supervisor/manager to join our team in Eynsham as a Cell Leader, working on a weekly rotating shift pattern (early Mon-Thurs 06:00-14:30 with a 13:30 finish on the Friday, late Mon-Thurs 14:00 to 22:30, Fri 13:30 to 18:30).

About the Role

As Cell Leader, you will lead and develop a highly skilled manufacturing team, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery in a complex production environment. You will balance operational excellence with people leadership, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You'll be a role model to the team promoting continuous improvement and lean methodology and adopting the Siemens Healthineers Business Principles. This role will be ideally suited to someone with previous experience in a Shift Manager/Team Leader type role in a complex manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on close involvement in manual build processes, longer build times, and a high focus on quality and precision.

This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on world‑leading MRI technology while supporting the growth and development of your team.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Delivering products on time, to the required quality and cost targets
  • Providing clear direction and acting as an inclusive, inspirational leader and coach
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
  • Professionally investigating EHS incidents and implementing effective corrective actions
  • Planning and resourcing manufacturing activities through MT flex policy, including new products and processes
  • Analysing operational performance using KPIs such as Quality, Cost and Delivery, and driving improvement actions
  • Leading continuous improvement activities using Lean tools and the Healthineers Performance System (HPS)
  • Maintaining high standards of visual management and teamwork, stepping into operational roles when required
  • Motivating, developing and supporting team members through People and Leadership Practices (PLP)
  • Setting clear individual and team objectives and managing performance in line with company policies
  • Developing flexible skill levels within the team using skills data and structured training
  • Communicating effectively through regular shift meetings and performance reviews
  • Building strong working relationships with Engineers, PLM, Quality, Suppliers and other SCM teams
  • Applying structured problem‑solving techniques and presenting decisions using clear, logical reasoning

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience leading people in a manufacturing or production environment
  • The ability to motivate, engage and develop diverse teams to achieve shared goals
  • GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience or qualifications (desirable)
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well‑developed planning, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Experience working with materials or inventory planning systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary
  • 26 days' holiday with the option to buy up to 10 additional or sell up to 5
