Country Sales Lead for Belgium

This position is based in Belgium.

Role Purpose :

As the Country Sales Lead for Belgium, you will drive Varian’s commercial strategy across a highly specialized radiotherapy market. You will strengthen relationships with oncology centers, lead account strategies, and accelerate the adoption of advanced radiotherapy solutions across Belgian healthcare institutions. You will collaborate closely with regional and global teams, ensuring Belgium’s strategic direction aligns with Varian’s overall mission.

Your responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Growth

• Define and execute Belgium’s commercial strategy to support revenue growth and strengthen Varian’s leadership in radiotherapy.
• Deliver accurate forecasts, manage pipeline health, and uphold high CRM discipline—consistent with Varian’s expectations for accountability.
• Identify opportunities in public, private, and academic hospitals across Flanders, Wallonia, and Brussels.

Customer Engagement in the Belgian Market

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with radiation oncology departments, medical physicists, hospital executives, and procurement bodies across the Belgian healthcare ecosystem.
• Lead strategic account planning for major oncology centers and maintain a strong presence in industry events and scientific congresses.
• Communicate Varian’s clinical and operational value proposition across diverse stakeholders.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Belgian sales team in a culture aligned with Varian’s collaborative, learning oriented, and mission driven values.
• Support talent development and ensure consistent execution of Varian’s commercial processes and go to market approach.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee tender submissions, pricing, and contract negotiations in alignment with Belgian regulatory and compliance standards.
• Support product launches and collaborate with Service, Marketing, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless and impactful customer experience throughout the product lifecycle.

Your profile:

• 8+ years of commercial experience in medical technology, ideally capital equipment.
• Proven success engaging with Belgian healthcare organizations and procurement processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing sales teams or commercial operations.
• Ability to navigate complex sales cycles involving clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders.
• Experience in radiation oncology, radiotherapy workflows, or oncology technology solutions.
• Deep understanding of Belgian oncology care pathways, reimbursement frameworks, and hospital funding structures.
• Familiarity with major Belgian oncology networks and academic radiotherapy centers.
• Mission driven with a strong customer orientation and the ability to build trusted partnerships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to work autonomously within a matrixed organization.
• High integrity, resilience, and adaptability in a fast advancing technological and clinical environment.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English and have a good level of French.
