Today, we are recruiting for a CBTC Project Director to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

• You will be responsible for managing and executing a highly complex project in an international setup, using state-of-the-art technologies to innovate and automate metro operations in Riyadh (CBTC, SCADA, and Communication Systems).
• You will be responsible for ensuring economic success and customer satisfaction by delivering the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
• You will develop your project team based on a clear project strategy, set up efficient project structures, and manage the highly complex project execution.
• Together with the commercial project management team, you will track goals and milestones, adjust them as necessary, and ensure comprehensive project control.
• Moreover, you will manage suppliers and subcontractors, who represent a significant portion of the project volume.
• Through meaningful reports, you will create transparency for our customers as well as our management, possibly up to the executive board.
• You will be responsible for setting up and leading a team for installation and commissioning activities.
• You will ensure installation and commissioning milestones are met and that the system is put into operation on time.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• A university degree in natural sciences, engineering, or information science (diploma/master), e.g. in communications engineering, electrical engineering, tech related civil engineering, or science.
• 5+ years of professional experience in project management, ideally with relevant certifications such as PM@Siemens, PMI, or IPMA (B Level).
• Knowledge in communication technologies (networks, radio transmission, passenger information systems, CCTV) is an advantage.
• Strategic thinking to achieve project goals.
• Leadership skills and styles to lead, organize, and motivate 100+ people together with a strong core team you will establish.
• Proactiveness and versatility in external and internal stakeholder management, collaboration, and partnership building.
• Experience in project management methods such as problem solving, strategizing, structuring, and change management.
