Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Grid Technologies- Transformers business in India. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business as well as factory operations, ensuring the highest standards of production, quality, and safety for our employees, as well as focusing on our customers’ needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes within the Energy Technology, ideally Transformer, industry.

The role reports directly to the MD & CEO of Siemens Energy India Limited and is based in Kalwa, Navi Mumbai.


How You’ll Make an Impact 


·       Lead the GTTR business in India including P&L ownership and all functions such as Procurement and EQS, along with providing strategic direction for the GT TR organization.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards and customers’ expectations.
  • Support and sponsor customers account management of main OEM customers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
  • Oversee the production process, ensuring efficient and timely manufacturing for the Factory.
  • Monitor production schedules, quality standards, and cost control measures.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize productivity.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control systems and processes.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the offer and order management processes to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the head of GT HR globally, other TR Clusters, factories, suppliers, customers, and corporate teams. Develop, maintain, and enhance stakeholder relations at highest levels.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, providing mentorship and support to foster professional growth. Enable and empower teams by crafting a trust and learning culture. Act as role model for diversity, inclusion and leading in the new normal.

What you bring:

       Master’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field

       Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, sales and or marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Energy technology industry.

       Strong knowledge of energy technology, ideally Transformer portfolio manufacturing processes and technologies.

       Proven track record of successfully managing factory operations and achieving business objectives.

       Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

       Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

       Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

       Excellent communication skills rounded by a solid negotiation skill
