What if your next role actually made you excited for Mondays? At Siemens Mobility, we believe our people are the cornerstone of our success. We are committed to nurturing a supportive and inclusive environment where every team member can thrive. Join our global community, where your growth and development are as important as our shared mission to innovate and transform the Rail industry.

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a central role in planning, organising, and delivering traction gearbox, motors, HVAC and fan overhaul projects throughout their full lifecycle. You’ll ensure each project is set up for success by preparing the required equipment, coordinating capacity and resources, and driving efficiencies while maintaining our strict quality standards. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, giving you the freedom to manage your projects effectively and make a real impact on operational performance.

You’ll make a difference by…
  • Coordinating overhaul projects from preparation to completion, ensuring tools, parts, training, and production capacity are fully organised before each campaign begins.
  • Leading each project through its full lifecycle, taking ownership of delivery, cost control and quality targets.
  • Managing all project orders in SAP, keeping records accurate from order intake through to delivery and invoicing.
  • Supporting the Sales team by providing accurate technical and capacity information to shape realistic, high‑quality tender submissions.
  • Ensuring all design requirements are met, using tools such as Visio and CAD where needed.
  • Championing Health, Safety and Environmental standards, embedding safe systems of work and engaging your team in a strong safety culture.
  • Driving continuous improvement by contributing to improvement programmes, enhancing cross‑functional processes, and promoting best‑practice behaviours across the team.

Your success will be grounded by …
  • Experience working in fast‑track production environments within industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of project management and planning, ideally within the rail industry or drive/rotating plant sectors (gearboxes, couplings, motors, HVAC).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong awareness of key customers and competitors, including their strengths and weaknesses.
  • A self‑motivated, proactive and enthusiastic approach, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • HND/Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline or a Project Management qualification such as APMP or PRINCE2 (or working towards one).
  • Proficiency in CAD and Visio.

It would be beneficial to have:
  • Experience with fast-track production within industrial manufacturing
  • Understanding of the rail industry with knowledge of key customers, as well as the major competitors, along with their comparative strengths and weaknesses
