Siemens Legal and Compliance advises the operating business and central units of the company on all legal and compliance-related matters. The global team acts as a close partner to Siemens' business leaders and supports them in achieving business goals, developing, and implementing legal strategies, and in the area of integrity.


What part will you play?

As an “Compliance Officer”, you will support the Legal Compliance unit for the Lead Country Korea. The function is a support function to implement global trade compliance strategy, effective processes, consulting and advice, and strategies to and collaborating with individuals at all levels within the business to enable adherence to the Siemens Compliance Program.


Areas of Responsibility

• Provide support in clarifying and advising on Compliance matters, including anti-corruption, antitrust law, and anti-money laundering prevention

• Contribute to ensuring the implementation and monitoring of compliance topics and compliance principles, policies, and procedures (e.g., business consultation, definition of internal sampling protocols, assistance in drafting instructions)

• Support the assessment and approval of business-specific processes with compliance relevance in designated tools (e.g., Compass, Third Party Due Diligence)

• Proactively analyze new business developments and customer projects, identify potential compliance risks and develop sound strategies for their mitigation.

• Assist in the development, enhancement, and application of digital compliance solutions (e.g., projects within the Xcelerator ecosystem for business partner evaluation)

• Drive continuous improvement around Compliance related topics through lean, optimized processes and effective controls.

• Establish sustainable regional compliance training programs and coordinate closely with internal audit functions in the clarification of suspected cases and investigations.

• Be a trusted partner/advisor to the business and manage issues related to Compliance.


For this demanding position, we seek a candidate with exceptional qualifications

- Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Risk Management, or equivalent field

- Experience & Expertise:

• Extensive professional experience in compliance, preferably in multinational or highly regulated environments

• Deep subject matter expertise in compliance domains including anti-corruption, antitrust law, data protection, anti-money laundering, human rights, and ethics (export control knowledge is a plus)

• Proven track record as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders across all organizational levels

• Strong strategic acumen in sales and service processes, with demonstrated ability to assess compliance risks and design effective mitigation strategies

• Ability to translate strategic vision into pragmatic operational solutions, supported by excellent analytical skills and exceptional stakeholder management capabilities

• Strong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills given the extensive interactions with legal counsel, and division/site executive management

• Ability to communicate, negotiate, influence, and implement changes within the business

• At least 7 years of work experience (Section Manager or Manager)

• Proven ability to navigate and actively shape complex regulatory environments while addressing risks in a targeted, stakeholder-appropriate manner

- Language Requirements:

• Fluent Korean and English (written and spoken) at negotiation level
