The Sales Specialist (Business Development Manager) is responsible for driving sales growth, product strategy, and market development for the Fire Detection portfolio. This role combines strategic planning, market intelligence, consultant engagement, sales enablement, and cross-functional leadership to strengthen market presence, achieve revenue targets, and ensure product excellence throughout its lifecycle.

1. Domain & Application Expertise: 
- Strong know-how in Fire Detection applications to support solution development and technical sales. Fire Suppression knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications.

2. Business Development & Consultant Engagement: 
- Drive consultant/specifier engagement to influence specifications and create strong product pull. 
- Strengthen brand presence through targeted business development initiatives and improve market share.
- To build, motivate, develop, coach and train sales personnel with the correct skill sets for competency development for value selling.
- Support field teams with joint customer visits, design clarifications, and objection handling.

3. Market Intelligence & Strategy Development: 
- Conduct detailed competitive analysis and track market trends, customer activities, and new opportunity areas. 
- Develop a structured Go-To-Market (GTM) plan with clear deliverables, timelines, and measurable outcomes to increase market share.
- Identify new industry segments, applications, and market potential for portfolio expansion.

4. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve assigned Order Intake and Revenue targets for the product segment. Develop and monitor regional and national sales strategies aligned with business objectives. 
- Support field teams with joint customer visits, design clarifications, and objection handling.
- Increase in profitability with consultative selling and price control.

5. Standardization of Sales Tools & Collaterals
- Create and standardize presentations, value propositions, sales arguments, technical datasheets, whitepapers, references, and other materials.
- Establish a comprehensive Sales Kit to ensure consistent communication across the organization.

6. Marketing Program Execution
- Plan and execute marketing activities such as consultant seminars, customer workshops, exhibitions, etc.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively to maximize brand visibility and lead generation.

7. Product Portfolio Strategy & Lifecycle Management
- Define roadmap for new product introductions, enhancements, and phaseouts.
- Identify product gaps and recommend enhancements to strengthen competitiveness, align with respective stakeholders for product improvements.
- Support product lifecycle activities, market launches, and business plan development.

8. Sales Governance & Review Mechanisms
- Conduct scheduled review meetings with regional teams to assess progress, identify gaps, and support opportunity transfer. 
- Strengthen long-term relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and business continuity.
- Build strong internal and external networks across sales, marketing, consultants, and partners. 
- Drive collaboration and synergy across regions to ensure alignment with organizational goals.


Qualifications & Experience
- B-tech- bachelor's degree in engineering with ~10 years’ experience in Fire Detection, Fire Suppression, Building Technologies or related domain.
- Strong experience in business development, sales, or product management.
- Technical understanding of fire safety standards and codes preferred.
