Inventory and Materials Supervisor - 1st Shift

The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
We are looking for an Inventory & Materials Supervisor for 1st Shift, which must be flexible to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed! To join our team! This position will be based at our Grand Prairie, TX site. The primary responsibilities include Receiving, Storage, Kitting, Inventory management, Root Cause analysis and Delivery to Manufacturing. In this role the candidate will work closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Planning to support production. Additionally, this person will be responsible for supervising 20 - 35 Team Members.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Supervising the teams responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving material, storing material, picking and kitting material, and delivering material to the assembly lines.
- Reviewing material and part movements/inventory in order to ensure no shortages or variances are present; determining root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions when found shortages or variances are identified.
- Managing cycle counting, root cause, and will drive in the resolution of all discrepancies related to the Materials and parts.
- Manage Part reordering from internal suppliers and bin capacity levels in Kitting area; to include reviewing Case Caps, reviewing Historic material/part movements, reviewing reorder points, and recommending adjustments to stand packs for outsourced parts or optimal lot sizes for internal source parts.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 4 or more years’ experience in manufacturing or warehouse distribution environments and inventory replenishment methods (KANBAN, Vendor Managed Inventory, Consignment, etc.)
- 4 or more years of experience directly supervising/leading teams of 20 or more associates.
- Has direct experience in Kitting and/or order fulfillment
- Has direct experience managing inventory and conducting Root cause analysis to identify and correct gaps.
- Leadership skills with the ability to work with different levels in organization.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) with excellent verbal, written and presentations skills.
- SAP Experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply-chain management are strongly desired, although a combination of educations (High School Diploma or GED) and directly related work experience will also be considered.
- SAP Experience (SAP WM)
- Project management with proven delivery of improvement project in a manufacturing or order fulfillment environment.
- LEAN, Six Sigma, Root Cause and Continuous Improvement skills
- APICS/CPM Accreditation

The pay range for this position is $67,544 - $115,790 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
