Today, we are recruiting for a EHS Supervisor (North Coast) to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
- Implement and monitor compliance with HSE procedures as part of the Consortium Joint Venture requirements.
• Support contractors and subcontractors in applying the project’s HSE strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with consortium partners and contractors to ensure alignment with HSE requirements and standards.
• Maintain HSE processes on site to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and IFC guidelines.
• Monitor HSE coverage and coordinate the supervision of installation activities performed by the Consortium Joint Venture for SMO.
• Report and escalate any breaches of Life-Saving Rules and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Review safe systems of work on site, including Method Statements, STARRT cards, and work permits.
• Inspect wayside locations to ensure equipment and plant comply with safety and operational standards.
• Ensure that all personnel working on site are properly trained and authorized.
• Attend and deliver weekly toolbox talks in coordination with the Consortium HSE team.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), preferably within large infrastructure, railway, or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, safety management systems, and international standards such as IFC guidelines.
• Experience working with contractors and subcontractors to ensure HSE compliance on site.
• Ability to review and implement safe systems of work including Method Statements, STARRT cards, and permit-to-work systems.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with consortium partners, contractors, and site teams.
• Experience delivering toolbox talks and promoting safety awareness among site personnel.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
