- Are you a passionate and aspiring DevOps Engineer with 2-4 years of experience, eager to make a significant impact in a cloud-native environment? Siemens FT Mobility is looking for a talented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our innovative Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building, maintaining, and optimizing our AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our critical applications. - Primary Responsibilities:
- AWS Infrastructure Management: Assist in the deployment, management, and optimization of AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, and IAM roles, ensuring best practices for cost-efficiency, security, and performance.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD, enabling faster and more reliable software releases.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Work with Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and version control of our environments.
- Containerization: Utilize Docker to containerize applications, facilitating consistent deployment across different environments and improving application portability.
- Version Control: Manage source code repositories using Git and GitLab SCM, ensuring proper branching strategies, code reviews, and collaboration within development teams.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Assist in setting up and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems for AWS infrastructure and applications to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Automation: Identify opportunities for automation across development, testing, and operational processes to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide support for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD related issues, collaborating with development teams to resolve problems efficiently.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Desired Skills:
- - 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Cloud Support, or similar role.
- - Understanding of AWS core services, including EC2, S3, and IAM.
- - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and/or GitLab CI/CD.
- - Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker.
- - Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform.
- - Proficiency with Git and GitLab for source code management.
- - Foundational understanding of automation principles and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
- - Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning.
- - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to work in a team-oriented SRE environment.
