Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Siemens & Contract Manufacturing Locations
Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of production and subassembly machines across Siemens and Siemens Contract Manufacturing locations. The role involves overseeing preventive maintenance (PM), minimizing machine downtime, managing spare parts efficiently, and handling both mechanical and electrical maintenance for equipment and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance for subassembly machines, including LASER machines, welding machines, riveting stations, semi-automatic fixtures/jigs, and MCB/Fuse subassembly tools.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
Maintain and update PM schedules, checklists, and machine history records.
Provide rapid support to production teams to resolve machine stoppages and ensure continuity.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for recurring failures.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety norms, EHS requirements, and 5S workplace management practices.

2. Spare Parts Management
Maintain inventory of critical spare parts, monitor consumption, and raise timely replenishment requests.
Inspect incoming spare parts to verify specifications, fitment, and quality.
Maintain records of spare part usage and ensure organized, traceable storage.
Recommend optimal stock levels, identify cost-effective alternatives, and support cost-reduction initiatives without compromising equipment safety or performance.


3. Documentation
Prepare SOP & HIRA , ISO documents of maintenance function.

Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
6–8 years of experience in machine maintenance (mechanical + electrical).

Preferred Skills
Hands on experience in setting up machines, fixtures, and jigs.
Exposure to basic PLC concepts and industrial automation systems.
Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and read technical manuals.
Good knowledge of tools, equipment usage, and maintenance practices.
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, cooling, and related systems.
Ability to work efficiently, under pressure, and collaboratively within a team.
Working knowledge of UV laser systems, welding machines, thermal testing setups, vision systems, conveyors, riveters, fixtures, electrical control panels, sensors, and pneumatic systems.
