The National Business Manager for the Mechanical Segment of Portfolio Sales Enablement SI Buildings USA has the exciting opportunity to support the Regions and Area Offices to grow our Mechanical business which centers around Siemens Smart Mechanical solutions and services. Collaborate with Portfolio Sales Enablement, Sales, and Operations to deliver clear and concise Mechanical Strategies to the Area Success Management organization.
As the National Business Manager for Mechanical, you will:
- Works with the Head of Mechanical and other Mechanical Center of Competence team members to define the overall strategy and roadmap of the products, solutions, and service portfolio elements in the United States for SI Buildings business unit.
- Champions innovation and the adoption of new portfolio and technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Manage and schedule Mechanical Sellers Calls:
- Promoting the calls
- Curating content for the calls
- Working with Tech Unit/PSE Team
- Drive PSE Mechanical Segment goals into the Field Organization
- Understands and works with the Area Sales and Operations teams
- Responsible for our Go-to-Market Strategies:
- Competitor analysis
- Takeover accounts
- Wolfpack/cross business
- Cross-selling best practices
- Participates, when appropriate, in face to face calls, assesses needs and participates in presentations to educate customers and SIB employees on our Mechanical Portfolio, trends in the market, and what other customers are buying
- Work with National Sales Management Team to drive Order Intake needs in Mechanical, including use of tools and process for Sales including:
- Si-Quote
- SieSales
- Proposal Generator Tool
- Help develop content for Mechanical Service classes and co-teach class with other Mechanical personnel
- Participate and represent PSE Mechanical for the Ready to Lead program (Sales Management Training) and Ready to Sell (Sales Rep Training)
- Represent PSE Mechanical for various Vertical Market tradeshows/workshops and leadership events
- Assist with the annual growth planning process to develop comprehensive area business plans including appropriate actions required to ensure achievement of Mechanical growth targets
- Act as a liaison between segment teams, Head of Mechanical Portfolio, Digital Business sales team, Service leadership, and Zone/Area locations for resource sharing and team selling
- Collaborate with marketing, Product/Tech Units, finance, operations, business segments, and others to develop offerings that differentiate Siemens from competitors within the Zone and Area markets
- Interview, coach, counsel, and train sales personnel on performance and development needs
- Coach, counsel, and train operations personnel in collaboration with area management
- Expand networking contacts with key national and regional trade/industry organizations and companies related to Mechanical service and projects, enhance customer relationships, and maintain current knowledge in Siemens’ and competitor’s products and services
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience with comprehensive knowledge of the Mechanical business and at least 3 years managing/coaching sales teams and/or individuals
- Full understanding of Siemens Area Operations and the project/service agreement execution process
- Demonstrated ability to deliver financial results and secure results in a matrix environment without direct daily managerial control – takes initiative instead of direction
- Ability to plan, navigate and negotiate a complex sales process
- Skilled in coaching others on sales improvement opportunities, financial concepts, contractual techniques, sales skills development and business/sales strategy and plan implementation
- Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills are required
- High school diploma, state-recognized GED, or state-recognized high school proficiency exam required, Secondary technical/engineering/business education preferred
- Typical travel 40% to 60%

The pay range for this position is $109,670 - $188,006 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
