We want to get onboard a Senior specialist / expert in Labor Relations

Position Purpose

The Senior Labor Relations Specialist supports the Labor Relations Manager and the P&O Leadership Team in implementing the company’s labor strategy by providing expert technical advice and ensuring compliance with individual and collective labor regulations. The role’s mission is to anticipate labor risks, ensure proper application of labor laws, and act as a technical reference in managing labor relations within a dynamic and multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Support and Technical Advisory

Contribute to the definition and implementation of the labor relations strategy in collaboration with the Labor Relations Manager.
Advise management and P&O teams on labor legislation and potential risks.
Provide technical solutions to complex or novel situations.
Coordinate with other P&O and business areas to ensure consistency in labor policies.

2. Collective Labor Relations

Actively participate in interactions with Works Councils and Trade Unions, including negotiations of Collective Bargaining Agreements, Equality Plans, and other labor-related agreements, in line with management directives and budget.
Analyze and prepare technical documentation for negotiations.
Contribute to the design of policies that foster a collaborative environment and conflict resolution.
Represent the company in mediation or conciliation processes when delegated by Management or the Labor Relations Manager.

3. Individual Labor Cases

Proactively prevent, identify, and resolve individual labor conflicts, from simple cases to complex situations.
Apply internal disciplinary policies and the Code of Conduct, including drafting and delivering disciplinary or termination letters.
Manage leaves of absence, hiring processes, contract amendments, transfers, and substantial modifications of working conditions.
Negotiate and process working time adaptations and reductions, including all related documentation.
Draft and negotiate work calendars.
Analyze the impact of legislative changes or market trends on internal policies.

4. Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with current labor legislation.
Coordinate labor inspections, infringement reports, and internal audits.
Promote continuous improvement of labor processes and legal risk prevention.


This is how you'll win us over 

Degree in Law, Labor Relations, or a related field.
7–10 years of experience in labor relations roles.
Proven experience in dealing with Works Councils and negotiating company-level collective agreements.
In-depth knowledge of Spanish labor law.

  • Proven experience in estimating, managing, and controlling personnel cost budgets, as well as in developing financial models and conducting economic evaluations of collective labor agreements
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Analytical mindset and practical problem-solving orientation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
  • Autonomy, technical rigor, and sound judgment in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent writing and summarizing skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish.
