Today, we are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join our team in Turkey. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What Are My Responsibilities?
- Lead and coordinate fault finding, modification, and mobile service technician teams.
- Plan, manage, and approve daily service activities and work orders in line with operational priorities.
- Ensure service delivery complies with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), particularly for Level 1 locomotive services.
- Act as the technical escalation point for critical service-impacting failures and support rapid resolution.
- Operate and coordinate the 24/7 Vectron Support Line, ensuring continuous technical support.
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Fleet Management, Logistics, EHS, Customers, and Project Teams.
- Coordinate software updates and technical modifications in accordance with engineering standards and procedures.
- Plan and deliver technical training sessions, and coordinate EHS training with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety rules, EHS requirements, and internal processes.
- Manage material planning, spare parts usage, and budget control within the assigned scope.
- Coordinate with international stakeholders to support locomotive operations and ensure alignment with global service requirements.
- Act as the technical and operational interface between local operations (Türkiye) and international engineering, service, and fleet teams.
What Do I Need to Qualify for This Job?
- Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics Engineering (technician or master level).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in railway vehicles, rolling stock, or heavy industry.
- Strong technical expertise with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in team leadership and coordination of field service activities.
- Good communication skills with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Basic proficiency in English communication.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as required to support operations.
- Availability for occasional international travel to support cross-border service activities and stakeholder coordination.
