We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect

In this role, you will take end-to-end technical ownership of the Edge2Cloud platform, leading its cloud architecture, implementation, and continuous evolution. You will act as the primary technical authority for cloud infrastructure and work closely with engineering, product, and business partners to deliver a secure, scalable, and reliable platform that supports real-time access to thousands of buildings worldwide.

You’ll make a difference by:

Cloud Architecture & Platform Ownership

• Owning and continuously evolving the cloud architecture for the Edge2Cloud platform
• Gaining a deep understanding of the existing platform, identifying architectural improvements, and leading their implementation
• Designing and managing secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure

Hands-on Development & Engineering Excellence

• Contributing directly to a large and complex TypeScript codebase, applying strong object-oriented design and software engineering principles
• Ensuring the platform remains robust, maintainable, and extensible as it evolves

DevOps, Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Supporting and maintaining DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure automation
• Leading the use of Infrastructure as Code with AWS CloudFormation
• Driving standard processes in automation, reliability, and operational efficiency

Security, Reliability & Operational Excellence

• Ensuring strong standards across security, monitoring, observability, resilience, and cost optimization
• Applying cloud operational standards to maintain a highly reliable production platform

Collaboration, Leadership & Documentation

• Producing clear, high-quality technical documentation and contributing to architecture and code reviews
• Mentoring and supporting engineers through hands-on technical guidance and day-to-day collaboration
• Working closely with stakeholders to translate business and product requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions

What You’ll Bring:

Experience & Technical Skills

• 7+ yrs of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture, engineering, and operations
• Proven experience in a senior technical role with ownership of cloud platforms or infrastructure
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including infrastructure, networking, security, and monitoring
• Strong development experience in TypeScript with solid object-oriented programming skills
• Experience working with complex backend or platform codebases
• Strong experience using AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI)
• Good understanding of cloud security, observability, resilience, and cost management
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice to have:

• Experience with React
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
• Experience with distributed systems or edge-to-cloud architectures
• Background in product or platform engineering with high availability requirements
