Senior AWS CDK Infrastructure Architect
Hello Visionary!
We know that a business truly thrives only when its people are growing. That’s why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team is here to support you—and challenge you—to grow in new ways. Who knows where our shared journey will take you?
We are looking for a Senior AWS CDK Infrastructure Architect.
As a Senior AWS CDK Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how cloud infrastructure is designed, generated, and governed across the organization. This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure architect who sees AI not as a replacement for engineering judgment, but as leverage that must be carefully controlled.
You’ll Make a Difference By:
• Defining prompting strategies, skills, rules, and guardrails for AI‑assisted AWS CDK code generation using tools such as Claude Code
• Critically reviewing, validating, and refining AI‑generated infrastructure code to ensure correctness, security, and adherence to AWS Well‑Architected Framework principles
• Maintaining full understanding of—and accountability for—every generated resource, never “blindly” accepting model output
• Designing, developing, and maintaining reusable CDK constructs, proven patterns, and shared libraries
• Establishing consistent infrastructure standards across AWS accounts, regions, and environments
• Guiding teams toward scalable, repeatable, production‑grade cloud architectures
• Building and maintaining automated pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, testing, and deployment
• Embedding AI‑assisted code generation into CI/CD workflows with appropriate quality gates, security checks, and pre‑commit validations
• Leveraging infrastructure testing and compliance tools such as CDK Assertions, Checkov, and cfn‑nag
• Collaborating closely with application developers, security engineers, and platform teams to translate requirements into reliable cloud infrastructure
• Acting as a trusted advisor on infrastructure automation, governance, and cloud architecture decisions
• Creating clear documentation for infrastructure patterns, AI‑assisted workflows, and engineering standards
• Enabling teams to adopt AI‑augmented infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) practices confidently, responsibly, and consistently
• Leading the organizational shift from traditional IaC development to AI‑driven infrastructure automation
• Ensuring security best practices are embedded in all generated infrastructure, including IAM least‑privilege policies, encryption, network segmentation, and tagging strategies
• Supporting regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and governance processes
• Identifying and mitigating risks introduced by automated infrastructure code generation
• Staying current with AWS service releases, CDK enhancements, and advances in AI‑assisted development
• Continuously improving generation quality, reducing manual intervention, and increasing delivery velocity
• Defining and operating AI‑augmented infrastructure automation—rather than manually authoring every line of code—using tools such as Claude Code while retaining full architectural ownership and accountability
• Working closely with platform engineers, security teams, and development leaders to design secure, scalable, and compliant AWS environments
You’ll Win Us Over By:
• A degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience
• Overall 7 to 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing and managing AWS infrastructure using CDK (TypeScript or Python), with deep expertise in CloudFormation, resource lifecycle management, and multi‑account/multi‑region strategies
• Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code or comparable tools) for infrastructure code generation—not as a novelty, but as a core part of your workflow
• Strong architectural understanding of AWS services (e.g., VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront) and how they compose into production‑grade systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure testing and security tools (e.g., CDK Assertions, Checkov, cfn‑nag)
• Ability to critically evaluate AI‑generated code, identifying subtle misconfigurations, security gaps, anti‑patterns, and deviations from organizational standards
• Familiarity with infrastructure security and compliance topics, including least‑privilege IAM, data protection, and audit processes
• Passion for working at the intersection of infrastructure engineering and AI‑assisted development—you recognize both the leverage and the risks
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a rapidly evolving tooling landscape
