We are looking for System Engineer – RAMS (Field Monitoring _Digitalization & CBM)

We aim for competitive reliability, best availability, optimized maintenance, and ensure precise life-cycle cost (LCC) outcomes—fully integrating safety and validation for locomotives and passenger coaches.
A significant part of our role is to act as the innovation team introducing Lifecycle Intelligence (Li) for Vectron Locomotives. As part of the Railigent Xcelerator Program, we combine the strengths of RAM/LCC and FXM, leveraging Li as our key to future success.
Field experience Management:
- You will perform reliability, maintenance analyses, and life cycle cost calculations, further developing them with a focus on digital approaches and CBM strategies.
- You will support the implementation of RAM/LCC specifications on systems and components. In doing so, you act as a central hub, regularly exchanging ideas with internal (e.g., design engineers, customer service, purchasing) as well as external (e.g., customers, suppliers) partners.
- You will independently implement the RAM/LCC process in our projects. This includes planning and controlling the costs and deadlines of the associated specialized tasks.
- You will contribute innovative ideas about maintainability and condition Based Maintenance (CBM), driving their implementation forward.
- You will be instrumental in the conception and implementation of overhaul strategies for locomotives and passenger coaches, including the overhaul strategy for bogies and car bodies, as well as the development of interval extension programs.
- Support engineering teams on RAM/LCC topics and ensure compliance with standards.
- Use field data (FXM) to improve performance and lifecycle cost efficiency.
RAMS:
- Contribute to bids and support the implementation of RAM/LCC processes throughout development phases
- Execute RAM/LCC activities in projects and tenders from design to warranty phase
- Define RAM/LCC requirements, develop RAM plans, and ensure stakeholder & supplier compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as EN 50126, EN 17023, and relevant RAM processes
- Demonstrated experience in executing RAM/LCC processes from design to warranty phase in at least two projects
- Maintain strong awareness of safety processes and standards (EN 50126/28/29, CSM RA) to ensure effective coordination with the Safety organization
- Support alignment of RAM deliverables with system-level requirements and interfaces, including inputs/outputs to safety analyses (e.g., FMECA, FTA)
- Identify reliability-related failure scenarios and contribute to risk input data for system-level risk management
- Collaborate with Safety teams to ensure consistency between RAM and Safety assumptions, requirements, and analyses
- Review supplier RAM deliverables and ensure alignment with project requirements and interfaces impacting system performance and dependability
- Support cross-functional coordination across project lifecycle to ensure robust RAM implementation and interface management
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the field of requirements engineering / system engineering.
- Graduate Engineer with minimum 15+ years of experience in RAMS out of which minimum 12 years in Rolling stock RAM/LCC, Management field, Knowledge of the relevant standards and regulations of advantage.
- Knowledge of project management as well as SAP is desirable.
- Must have Power BI skills focused on real-time data breakdown, geographic tracking, and KPI visualization. Power BI Certification will be an advantage.
- Being agile, ability to prioritize and to work effectively under pressure to meet the deadline.
- Able to work in an international and multicultural environment within a matrix organization structure.
- Good written and spoken communication skills (in English). German will be an advantage.
- Ready to travel locally and internationally as in when required by projects.
