The Engineering Data Specialist is responsible for managing engineering information, data structures, and engineering data processes across global projects and systems. The role acts as the primary interface between engineering teams, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure engineering information is structured, accessible, and effectively utilized throughout the project lifecycle. The position focuses on engineering information management, process standardization, system integration, and digitalization initiatives, while partnering with Data Quality Engineers to ensure adherence to established quality standards.

How You'll Make an Impact (Gas Turbine, R& D, India)

▸  Manage engineering data models, metadata, and documentation frameworks.

▸ Define and improve engineering data management processes, workflows, and governance practices.

▸  Provide guidance and support to engineering teams on data management tools and processes.

▸   Support data exchange processes between engineering systems.

▸  Support and optimize engineering data management platforms (e.g. COMOS).

▸   Collaborate with global engineering, project, and IT stakeholders.

What You Bring

▸ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

▸  3+ years of experience in engineering data management or engineering systems.

▸  Experience with engineering data management tools (e.g., COMOS or similar platforms).

▸  Strong understanding of engineering documents, data structures, and workflows.

▸  Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI.

▸  Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.

▸  Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

▸  Fluent in English.

▸  Experience in power generation, EPC, or industrial plant engineering.

▸  Knowledge of data governance and master data management principles.

▸  Experience with data automation and scripting (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA).

 ▸ Experience working in a global engineering organization.

▸  Passion for digitalization and continuous improvement.
