About the Job

Brightly Software is searching for someone who excels at and enjoys composing captivating content across multiple touchpoints, marketing channels and industries. As our copywriter, you’ll be a key part of the content and creative team - working closely with the broader marketing team and organization. In this role, you will craft compelling copy with a consistent brand voice that differentiates Brightly Software from competitors to engage and convert readers. You will serve as a critical resource providing style guidance, writing best practices and copyediting assistance for quality assurance.

The right person for this role is an imaginative and persuasive storyteller, a conversion-oriented brand champion, a dedicated problem solver, self-motivated, reliable, meticulous, curious, passionate, and collaborative.


What you will do

  • Write clear, concise, and error-free copy that reflects our defined tone of voice
  • Learn and stay current on target audiences and key positioning for how our products and services solve customer pain points, differentiate based on industry and enhance core positioning
  • Work closely with internal partners to understand project objectives, gather information, collaborate on feedback and refinements, and deliver against targeted dates
  • Interpret creative direction and technical information, turning them into clear and persuasive copy for conversion
  • Collaborate with UI/UX and graphic designers to bring your words to life
  • Provide an extra set of eyes on copy written by internal partners as copyeditor, ensuring all copy reflects Brightly Software’s voice, aligns with core messaging, and adheres to our style guide


Types of Writing You’ll Be Crafting

Creative and brand copywriting:

  • Messaging briefs or brand frameworks
  • Campaign ideation and outputs
  • Employer brand content
  • SaaS thought leadership and market education
  • Short- and long-form storytelling
  • Research reports and large data projects

Conversion & Digital Copywriting

  • Website and landing page copy
  • Email and cultivate campaign content
  • Paid media copy (display, retargeting, social, and search campaigns)
  • SEO-focused writing and keyword-optimized content


What you need

  • 5+ years of copywriting and copyediting experience, ideally in a B2B or SaaS environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Shown ability to work within established brand guidelines, including tone of voice and messaging frameworks
  • Experienced knowledge of AP Style and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success in developing creative, compelling copy for marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Experience with SEO best practices and writing optimized digital content

The pay range for this position is $65,600 - $112,560 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
