The Mission

As the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Services Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring Siemens’ operations in Kuwait adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental responsibility. Your mission is to implement and continuously improve EHS systems and processes, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations. This role plays a key part in advancing Siemens’ sustainability goals and fostering a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and monitor resource usage, emissions, and waste management.
• Support implementation and audit readiness for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Lead risk assessments and hazard identification and develop preventive safety measures.
• Organize and deliver EHS training sessions for employees and contractors to strengthen the safety culture.
• Ensure alignment with Kuwait’s local EHS regulations and international best practices.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies for permits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Develop emergency preparedness plans and lead drills or simulations.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Deliver regular EHS performance reports, audit summaries, and continuous improvement plans.
• Design and implement sustainability initiatives aligned with Siemens’ global environmental strategy.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001/45001 lead auditor).
• Proven experience in EHS roles, preferably within a multinational or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of local Kuwait EHS laws and international standards.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with EHS software is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Arabic and/or German is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel abroad, if required.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Siemens internal EHS processes and tools.
• Exposure to sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, ESG indicators).
• Ability to conduct engaging safety training and awareness campaigns.
• Comfortable working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement in mindset.
